Lionel Hicks began his career aged 15 as a drummer for such bands as UFO, Kid Wicked, Balance of Power[1] and Gene Loves Jezebel.
After two decades of drumming, Hicks moved into music production, and his credits include United States of Mind (USM), Gypsy: A Musical Fable, Teaser, Lady Luck, Kid Wicked, all of the Balance of Power albums, and Tamrah Aeryn.
Hicks entered film production in 2004, producing the Balance of Power documentary Heathenology (in which he also featured), and the music videos "Chemical Imbalance" for Balance of Power, and "Sateen in Mind" for Tamrah Aeryn.
Between January and April 2005, Hicks produced -the on-screen audio and music for the 2006 feature film Frank.
Since 2005, Hicks has established himself as both a film producer and audio producer on features and short films. His credits include Final Run, starring Norman Reedus, Tommy Flanagan and Frank Harper, and the short film The Red Shoes, starring Beth Winslet. In 2008 Hicks journeyed to Ibiza, Spain to produce And the Beat Goes On starring Jimi Mistry and directed by Steve Jaggi.
